How to practise writing code in Neuron

Hello!
How can I practise writing code in Neuron? I would like to see if I can write a program to generate a graph of an action potential using the Hodgkin Huxley equations. I understand that the equations are already built in but I want to practise writing and executing my own program in Neuron. Can you please help?
