relationship between weight and g_max

Post by bqrosen »

I'm using ExpSyn and Exp2Syn and would like to set the maximum conductance. Logically, synaptic weight and maximum conductance should be proportional to each other. What is the relationship? Thanks.

indicates that a unitary input event of weight w produces a peak conductance change of magnitude w (uS). But don't take my word for it--it's never a bad idea to verify a claim by testing with a toy model.
