Typesetting error in nap.mod affecting multiple ModelDB entries
The nap.mod file, which is reused in multiple models, contains an error in the n_inf formula. Below, I list 10 ModelDB entries that can be accesed through the links and the reused links: Error in 1 ModelDB reused in 4 other ModelDB entries https://modeldb.science/showmodel?tab=2&model=143719&...

Bug in the Distributed Mechanisms manager?
Dear Ted, Thanks for your reply. Actually I was doing what you suggest here "... you can do that either by ... or by retrieving session files for the GUI tools that manage global parameters." Indeed, first I loaded .ses files for the modeled channels, then I loaded .hoc file with the 3D ne...

Bug in the Cell Builder or Distributed Mechanisms manager
Dear Ted, Today I have uninstalled completely my NEURON 7.1 version and installed fresh copy. This is just to ensure that the "bug" is really there and not because I customized my NEURON (as you suggested in your previous reply to my post). I have found manual solution to the bug that I am...

Re: Units of currrents in shape plot
Dear Ted, Thanks for your prompt reply. In regards to currents only now I have noticed in The NEURON Book the remark that the value given in mA/cm^2 is equivalent to the one given in nA provided that the compartment has a surface area of 100 um^2 (indeed 1 mA/cm^2 x 100 um^2 = 1 nA). Now is clear th...

Units of currrents in shape plot
Dear Ted,
I would like to ask whether all currents are plotted by default in units of [mA/cm^2]? I have searched through The NEURON book and it seems that these are the assigned units for sodium, potassium and calcium currents within the various source codes.
Regards, Danko

Re: exp2syn without NetCon
Hi Ted, thanks very much for providing the code for exp2syn with delay. Indeed i also noticed that the standard AlphaSynapse has only one constant not two. And yes, I am modeling a single neuron not network, so I wanted to input the synapse and activate it at predetermined time. So as far I understa...

Re: Paste in Fitting > Y-expr
Dear Ted,
Thanks for your reply. I will try to define such useful one variable functions myself. Thanks for the code, it is very useful to have such code template.

Paste in Fitting > Y-expr
Dear authors, I would like to say that NEURON is great once you get used to it. There are nice tutorials online, so I have learned the basics. Here I would like to request if you could update the Fitting > Parameterized Function > Y-expr so that it can accept text to be pasted from the clipboard. Br...
