Is there a method to simulate an electrode stimulation for IntFire1 neurons?
I need to emule a current step.

No. Input events from any spike source will do the job. Could be any of the IntFire variants, or a biological model cell monitored by a NetCon.

If all you need is a way to make an IntFire1 fire a burst of spikes, what about driving it with a burst generated by a NetStim?
