Re: Chapter 11 Modeling Networks 'The NEURON Book'

Thank you very much for the detailed explainations.

Please are they references where I can read about these different artifcial neurons to help me understand when each could be used in the network models to generate spike trains?

Thank you
Irene

Re: Chapter 11 Modeling Networks 'The NEURON Book'

I have read the postings on the "Chapter 11 Modeling Networks in NEURON book", but the responses did not quite address my problem because there are some differences. I use the Kindle version of the NEURON book and 7.2 version of the NEURON simulation environment. In section 11.4.1 of the N...

Re: Question about CellBuilder tutorial

Thank you for the references, I'll read them. and also for letting me know the PointProcessManger doesn't have to indicate the name of the section on which the point process is located. The graphs I mean are: graphs of membrane potential Vs time and the space plot. In the first graph I plotted, supp...

Question about CellBuilder tutorial

I have another problem with the tutorial under the Neuron page in cell builder tutorial: using cell builder; Managing a model cell with complex anatomy. I have repeated this several time and have the same problem. When I bring up the point manger to insert IClamp at the soma, The show parameter/shap...

Re: Question about tutorial

I have looked at those codes but they were not helpful. I suppose the detailed codes where written in txt format and then saved as hoc file. When that is done, the detail codes do not appear when one runs the hoc file. The txt file is not included in the codes. Following the "abstract example&q...

Re: Question about tutorial

Thank you for your responses. I have read those references you quoted earlier. but still wasn't sure what do. Hopefully someday I'll come across a program that actually implements the code.

Thank you
