NMDA and GABA mod files that work with Netcon?

Post by dlpfc46 »

I've been looking for a while and I can't find any NMDA and GABA mod files that work with Netcon. Can anyone point me in the right place (I looked through a few models in ModelDB, but all the ones I looked at didn't have a NETRECEIVE block).

Why can't you use ExpSyn or Exp2Syn, with appropriate time constants and reversal potential, to represent AMPAergic synapses?

As far as an NMDA synaptic mechanism is concerned, if you identify a mechanism that has the desired dependence of synaptic current on v and Mg, and can tell me whether you want monoexponential or biexponential time course (and what the time constants are), I'll be glad to cobble one up for you.
