Potassium Kir (inward rectifying) current mod file

Hi,
I am trying to find mod files for inward rectifying currents; specifically kir2.4 and kir6.1 - but so far i have only been able to find a single mod file. I have looked under I, IR, Q, H in the modelDB. I just want to look at some kinetics for this channel (or similar ones) to help me out a bit. I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction - am i simply looking under the wrong name?

You could broaden your search by checking out each potassium current mechanism in
ModelDB. Tedious, but maybe you'll find something useful. You might also consider looking
for similar ionic currents in models implemented for other simulation environments or
programming languages. If you find something promising but the source code is too
obscure, dig up the paper to see if the authors spell it out more clearly there. Then of
course you might turn to Journal of Computational Neuroscience, and after that there is
the great maelstrom of neuroscience and biophysics literature.

Finding relevant entries in ModelDB

Like Natalie, I've been unable to locate existing models which include inwardly rectifying currents (specifically, GIRK currents - Kir3).

Searches of the ModelDB using the native search facility failed to turn up anything. However I found one paper after searching via Google (which cheered me up!).

When using the Google interface to search ModelDB, type in the key words you want, plus site:http://senselab.med.yale.edu
Hit the search button and Google will specifically look within the Senselab site.

My example search:

Kir3 site:http://senselab.med.yale.edu

To locate models that involve a particular current, I think I'd restrict the scope of my
searches a little further by specifying
site:http://senselab.med.yale.edu/modeldb/
