New HNN installation methods

Post by bcaldwell »

Greetings from the HNN team,

We are announcing a completely revamped Docker-based installation for easily running HNN on all major platforms (Mac, Windows, Linux). Additionally, HNN can be run in the cloud using your Amazon AWS account with a single command. Instructions for these platforms (even older OS releases) are provided on the HNN website:
https://hnn.brown.edu/index.php/install ... tructions/

For users with high-performance computing (HPC) resources at their institution, it may be possible to immediately run HNN on them using Singularity and the instructions for Brown’s “Oscar” computer.

We’d welcome feedback on the new installation procedure. Please let us know if any issues arise by creating an issue on GitHub. We’d be happy to help.

Also if you’ll be at the BRAIN Investigators Meeting in Washington DC today (4/12), come see our poster (F-55) and HNN demos from 9:30 to 12:30.
