Two NEURON courses in June 2013!

2013 promises to be another exciting year as we introduce a new item to the curriculum in response to the evolving needs of the community of NEURON users.

The first hands-on course this year will be an updated version of "The NEURON Simulation Environment" (the "Summer Course"). As always, this course provides a comprehensive introduction to the use of NEURON for modeling cells and networks. It will run from 9 AM Saturday, June 22 to noon Tuesday, June 25; for more information and registration instructions see http://www.neuron.yale.edu/neuron/static/courses/nscsd2013/nscsd2013.html

The new course will be "Parallelizing NEURON Models." This course, which is based in part on one that we presented at the 2010 meeting of the NEURON Users Group, is designed for the growing number of advanced NEURON users who need to run simulations on parallel hardware. It starts at 9 AM Wednesday, June 26 and ends at 5 PM Sunday, June 30; for more information and registration instructions see http://www.neuron.yale.edu/neuron/static/courses/parnrn2013/parnrn2013.html

Registration in these courses is limited, and the deadline for receipt of applications is Friday, May 24, 2013.
